Azretali Saubanov

Azretali wrote his first story while he was still in school. His teacher advised him to submit the story to the most popular youth magazine, but it wasn't published at the time, even though they received positive feedback from the editorial team. This inspired the young author, but literature was not his life's goal. Azretali was passionate about sports: wrestling and weightlifting occupied all his free time, followed by military service and university studies. Many years have passed since then. Azretali completed university and spent years as a history and philosophy teacher. His analytical and critical articles on art, including articles on cinema, were published.
Today, Azretali Saubanov is the president of the French association "Art Without Borders - Bridge of the Peace" and heads the international jury of the "Bridge of the Peace" film festival. But one day, the desire to write returned, and one after another, four books by Azretali Saubanov were published: "At the Turning Point of Eras," "Without the Right to Life," "Paris Under Siege," and "Once Upon Time in Bulgaria."
These books contain so many interesting plots taken from real life that each of them could serve as the basis for a film. Azretali’s plans for 2024 include producing and filming a short film based on his story “Into the Woods for Fir Trees”. It’s a story about how one day, on the eve of Christmas, a group of teenagers set off into the mountains behind the fir trees in the hopes of earning some money. However, what initially seemed like a simple plan turned into a series of unforeseen and adventurous events. Another project is a feature film titled “The French Inheritance”. The basis of the film was Azretali Saubanov’s novella “Asparukhov Bridge,” the publication of which sparked great interest among readers.
